One lonely faith among religions
The discussion had devolved to the moderate, but non-”religious” posters stating the fact that people would always believe whatever their culture told them, throughout history. By and large, they were absolutely correct. They also decided that all religions, while diverse with aspect to culture, had the same core principals and directives. Not quite, as one faith stands out from the rest like a sore thumb. The most feared faith of all, Biblical Christianity.
Killer Atheism
My guess is that, subconsciously knowing that death is headed toward him like a speeding bullet, he’s struggling to find comfort in other God-rejectors, desperately grasping for any semblance of hope. Paradoxically, the hope he desires lies only in the very God he rejects so vehemently.
Does God expect me to be perfect?
God does not expect us to be perfect. He is not stupid. He knows it is impossible, and so should you.
But He must expect something from us, right? If we can’t get in by good works, and we can’t be perfect, WHAT DOES GOD WANT?
Who’s your Jesus?
It certainly seems clear that God doesn’t want man to make images of Him or any god. The Ten Commandments has this as Number Two. So why have images of Jesus?
